Deep caries removal

Patient Complaint:

Patient complained of sensitivity and food impaction in lower posterior region.

Diagnosis:

• Deep carious lesion approaching the pulp

• Risk of pulpal exposure

• Loss of occlusal anatomy

Treatment Plan:

Selective caries removal to preserve pulp vitality, followed by placement of bioceramic liner and direct composite restoration.
